Project: Bridging the Gap – Creating a Video for a Corporate-Flashy Partnership
This project came with a unique challenge, I was tasked with creating a short, engaging video to represent two companies coming together to form a new partnership. The tricky part? Company A had a very traditional, corporate style, while Company B was artistic, bold, and loved to be flashy. The goal was to create a video that appealed to both audiences—a tricky balancing act between professionalism and vibrant creativity.
Challenge
From the start, it was clear that the main challenge would be finding the right tone. Company A wanted something polished and professional, while Company B wanted something visually exciting and eccentric. On top of that, I had no in-house footage to work with—just stock videos. I had to craft a concept from scratch that would blend these two contrasting aesthetics while still conveying the key message: this partnership was exciting, dynamic, and beneficial for both sides.
Design Concept and Execution
To meet both companies halfway, I created a video that combined the flashy visuals Company B loved with the sleek, clean professionalism Company A expected. I carefully curated stock footage, mixing high-energy, artistic clips with more refined, corporate visuals. The result was a fast-paced but polished video that opened with bold, energetic scenes and transitioned into more structured and professional visuals as the narrative unfolded.
The key was in the pacing and transitions—starting with the energy that appealed to Company B and smoothly bringing it down to a more grounded, sophisticated tone to match Company A’s expectations. The color palette, effects, and transitions had that eccentric flair, but the typography, pacing, and final message ensured the overall video felt cohesive and professional.
Outcome
In the end, both companies were thrilled. The video struck the perfect balance between artistic and corporate, giving Company B the excitement they wanted without alienating Company A’s more traditional tastes. Despite having to work solely with stock footage, I was able to deliver a final product that felt unique, on-brand for both, and effectively communicated the services of the new partnership.
